We wanted to provide you with an update on visitation at Whiddon Moree, which is currently restricted. We had previously advised that this restriction could possibly be lifted this Thursday.
Unfortunately, we have had a resident today experience flu-like symptons and in accordance with public health unit advice, we are not in a position to safely lift this restriction at the moment. The earliest that this could be lifted is Sunday, but we will provide another update in the next few days.
As mentioned previously, we have no reason to believe this is a COVID-19 outbreak. Tests to date have come back negative for COVID-19 and have indicated that affected residents have been experiencing a common viral infection.
We know this is a difficult time and we thank you for your patience and understanding. We will provide another update to you soon.
