Important Information for Whiddon Kyogle Residents, Families & Representatives 12.06.2024

Dear Families, Friends & Representatives,

Following consultation with the Public Health Unit, we would like to advise of a COVID-19 Outbreak at Whiddon Kyogle.

All visitors must complete a full screening before entering the home, including Rapid Antigen Testing. Masks must be worn and will be provided upon entry.

Please be advised that the COVID-19 Outbreak at Whiddon Belmont has been declared closed.

Please note:

  • Normal visiting arrangements will remain in place, with everyone requested to wear a surgical mask on visits.
  • Rapid Antigen Tests are to be completed before entering if unwell or experiencing any flu-like symptoms.

Important Information for Whiddon Robert Young Employees 11/06/2024

Dear Employees,

We are advising of a COVID-19 Exposure at Whiddon Robert Young after a resident in South Wing tested positive for COVID-19. Please note that at this time no other wings have tested positive however, caution is to be taken as usual with the colder months upon us.

Please note:

  • Employees are required to continue to take a Rapid Antigen Test and are also required to wear N95 surgical masks with additional PPE in affected areas.
  • All visitors are encouraged to consider postponing any visits if they are unwell or experiencing any flu-like symptoms.

We are pleased to advise that no other wings have tested positive at this time, however, we will provide any updates as they occur.

Important update for all Families, Friends, and Representatives 23.05.2024

Dear Families, Friends, and Representatives,

Please be advised that the community transmission of COVID-19 has increased to moderate levels across NSW and QLD, as a result, influenza activity is expected to increase over the next 6-8 weeks.

For everyone’s safety, Whiddon is requiring all visitors to return to mask wearing while visiting and strongly encourages postponing any visits if experiencing any flu-like symptoms.

We will continue to review these requirements as the community transmission levels change.

Update for all Whiddon Employees 23.05.2024

Dear Employees,

Please be advised that the community transmission of COVID-19 has increased to moderate levels across NSW and QLD, as a result, influenza activity is expected to increase rapidly over the next 6-8 weeks.

For everyone’s safety, Whiddon is requiring all employees and visitors to return to mask wearing at all times and strongly encourages all employees to keep up to date with COVID-19 and flu vaccinations.

Please note that employees are required to provide their Immunisation History Statement to payroll, via email at payroll@whiddon.com.au.
Immunisation History Statements can be found in your MyGov portal through Medicare or the place of vaccination such as pharmacies, GPs, or local clinics.

We will continue to review these requirements as the community transmission levels change.

Please be advised that Whiddon Largs is currently experiencing an active COVID-19 Exposure.

Please note:

  • Visiting during the exposure will still occur however, visitors are required to take a Rapid Antigen Test before entering and are also required to wear surgical masks.

  • Employee testing will once again resume until the exposure has ceased and PPE must be worn, as directed by your supervisor.

Please note that masks and Rapid Antigen Tests are no longer required, in line with Public Health Advice, however, if visitors wish to complete a test on arrival staff are happy to provide this.

All visitors are encouraged to consider postponing any visits if they are unwell or experiencing any flu-like symptoms.
