Important Update for Whiddon Easton Park – SDM 16 02 2024

Dear Families, Friends & Representatives,

Please be advised that Whiddon Easton Park – SDM, and in particular Leslie Lock, is still experiencing active COVID-19 cases with the last positive case being on Monday the 12th of February. Thankfully, all impacted residents are recovering well.

Please be assured that you will still be able to visit your loved ones during the outbreak. In line with advice from the Public Health Unit, visitors will be required to take Rapid Antigen Testing prior to entry and will be required to wear N95 masks and full PPE. Visitations may only occur in your loved one’s room.

We will provide a further update if anything changes.

Power Outage Glenfield 14 02 2024

Dear Whiddon Easton Park Residents, Families & Friends,

We are advising that some homes at Glenfield (Easton Park) are currently affected by a Power Outage. Some homes are currently using our backup generators to ensure that they can maintain their full operation.

This outage is also affecting our Call Centre telecommunications for both inbound and outbound calls.

Rest assured that we are in close communication with the provider/s to expedite any repairs, and we hope that the connection will be restored shortly.

We will update you as soon as we have further details. Thank you for your patience.

Update for all Whiddon Employees 13 02 2024

Dear team,

The community transmission of COVID-19 remains high across NSW and QLD. The current health advice is that all employees and visitors should continue to wear masks during periods of high community transmission.

For everyone’s safety, Whiddon will continue to require employees and visitors to wear surgical masks at all times and complete daily rapid antigen tests.

We will continue to review these requirements as the community transmission levels change.

Please continue to follow infection prevention guidelines to assist in managing the spread of COVID-19:

  • Stay home if you have cold or flu symptoms.
  • Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • As we start to approach the winter season, boost your protection by also planning for your Flu vaccination
  • Continue hand washing and good respiratory hygiene practices
  • Ensure you are wearing your mask correctly, covering both your nose and mouth.

Update for all Whiddon Families & Representatives 13 02 2024

Dear Residents, Family & Representatives

The community transmission of COVID-19 remain high across NSW and QLD. The current health advice is that all employees and visitors should continue to wear masks during periods of high community transmission.

For everyone’s safety, Whiddon will continue to require employees and visitors to wear surgical masks at all times and complete daily rapid antigen tests.

We will continue to review these requirements as the community transmission levels change.

Please continue to follow the NSW & QLD Health guidelines to assist in managing the spread of COVID-19:

  • Stay home if you have cold or flu symptoms.
  • If you are at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19, talk with your doctor now and make a plan for testing and antivirals before you get sick.
  • Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • Now is a good time to consider getting a COVID-19 booster vaccination if you are aged 65 years and over, or are at higher risk of severe COVID-19 illness, and haven’t had one in the last 6 months.
  • A COVID-19 booster vaccination is recommended for all people aged 75 years and over if it has been more than 6 months since your last dose.
  • As we start to approach the winter season, boost your protection by also planning for your Flu vaccination
  • Continue hand washing and good respiratory hygiene practices

Important Information for Whiddon Maclean Residents, Families & Representatives 1/02/2024

Dear Residents, Families & Representatives

Following consultation with the Public Health Unit, we are pleased to advise that the COVID-19 Outbreak at Whiddon Maclean is over.

Normal visiting arrangements will remain in place, with everyone requested to complete a daily RAT before entering the Home and to continue to wear a mask please.

We thank everyone for their support and understanding whilst our staff managed this Outbreak.
