At Whiddon, we invest a great deal in finding and developing carers, nurses, cooks and many others who have the values and skills to provide the right experience for our residents and clients. It’s a special person who can really listen and provide care and support that truly makes a difference to older people’s lives. Working in aged care is not a job, it’s a calling.

135In 2024, Whiddon introduced a new Scholarship opportunity, open to all employees.
The Rees-Naughton Scholarship was created in memory of Bill Rees and Gerald Naughton, former Whiddon Board members. Bill and Gerald were both passionate about seeing Whiddon’s people succeed.
Its goal is to support teams to elevate beyond the ordinary to become extraordinary, providing them with opportunities that they may not normally have access to.
At Whiddon, our team’s growth is a priority. We want to see everyone reach their highest potential and goals.
This scholarship aims to provide Whiddon employees with access to develop their professional skills through funded vocational or tertiary studies in areas such as health and nursing, diversional therapy, catering, human resources and management.
